This publication is a summary of presentations made at the National Conference on Micronutrient Fortification of Foods, a February 1999 meeting jointly organized by ILSI India and MI. The publication will serve as a reference document for nutritionists, researchers, industry, and health policy makers on the status of micronutrient deficiencies in India; technologies for fortification of foods; safety, regulatory, and educational advocacy aspects of food fortification programs, etc.
